Housekeepers to the Beckhams escapes charges over 'stolen' goods found on eBay

Eric and June Emmett, who worked at the Beckhams' mansion in Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire, were arrested on October 10 on suspicion of theft from a private address.

Detectives held their son Gareth three days later and questioned the trio before releasing them on bail.

A pair of the footballer's worn boots was then found missing from the couple's Rowneybury House mansion.

The items offered on eBay are understood to include football boots emblazoned with the names of the couple's three sons - Brooklyn, Cruz and Romeo.

After his arrest Mr Emmett, 55, from Nazeing, near Waltham Abbey, Essex, said the allegations against him, his wife, 56, and his son were 'fabricated nonsense'.

Former Manchester United and Real Madrid star Beckham, 33, moved to Los Angeles with his wife and the boys last year in a blaze of publicity.

The couple now divide their time between LA and Rowneybury House, nicknamed Beckingham Palace.

The mansion was the venue for the Beckhams' famous charity party ahead of the 2006 World Cup.
