Slumdog Millionaire, the Academy Award-winning best picture of the year, will hit Chinese screens March 26. "Slumdog Millionaire", a lowest budget production depicting a rags-to-riches love story, swept the Oscar ceremony with 10 nominations. It ended up bagging eight honours including best picture, best director and best editing.

A.R. Rahman became the first Indian to win two Oscars for his score in Slumdog Millionaire and for the film's theme song "Jai Ho". Slumdog Millionaire is the tale of an 18yr old slum dweller who goes on to become a millionaire by winning a quiz show.
